I had my Gall Bladder out May 5, 09. Two days after surgery I get this pain on the lower rib right side. I have ended up in the ER every week. This last time doctors started listening when my blood pressure shot up to 240/220, normally it is low. When this pain comes on it comes fast and so intense. I can't walk sit nothing, it's hard to breath , so then i go into a panic attack cause I feel like I can't breath. I have had ultra sound, x-ray, and scan and they don't see anything. I went back to surgeon and he said it's no way related to the surgery. I keep saying I was fine and didn't have this pain before surgery it started right after. In my ultrasound to find the gall stones they noticed I have a fatty liver, the endocronoligists doc says it coud be that even though blood test show liver function fine. So they going to do a liver biopsy. I keep telling them I can't be on diladid and valium for rest of my life and i can't go to Er every week and I risk having a stroke if my blood pressure goes that high when i get this pain and i dcan't make it go that high either. I tell em something is wrong now find it. Can they nick a nerve or an organ or cut a muscle wrong. I have three kids and this pain is worse than having them, you feel like you are dieing. I ended up in ER one time for 9 hours and they had to give me diladid thru iv every 45 minutes. It feels like a charlie horse in my chest you can't message out, does anyone know what will help?

I had pains that came up under the rib cage from gas that they used to fill the abdomen for them to see better..It last for a few weeks..The only way I got relief was by massage and stretching the area and using a warm compress..
But, youa re saying you can't massage this out..Try stretching the area and using a hot compress to relax the area..Honestly not sure but at least try this..kd

I am experiencing this pain also and had my gallbladder out two weeks ago. I feel worse then I did before. Went to ER myself and was told I had constipation, it is very painful and wakes me at night. Hopefully it is due to the gas that they used and am seeing the surgeon next week for a follow-up so hopefully better by then. What kind of warm compress would you suggest?

i have been having the same pain i had my gallbladder removed november 19,2008 and still today dont know what is wrong i have had ct scans and they can find anything. but it is the worse pain i have ever experienced and doctors are clueless. i have been sent to a pain specialist who tells me there is nothing that he can do for me. once this attack happens i cant move, breath i stiffen up like a board. i have learned the things that make it happen and thats anything that requires any pressure or over ussage. mine is located right at incision under neath my chest. if you find out anything please post and i will be sure to post if i find out anything. but as of right now i am considering a lawsuit i have contacted a lawyer waiting on his responce.
