Bad breath can often be the first sign of a disease. But how do doctors define bad breath and what are the major causes of bad breath?...

Q: Pain after crown fitted

Hi,

I hope someone can help - I've just had 2 crowns fitted, one which feels excellent [no pain] but the other two teeth further back in the roof of my mouth feels a little weird.

Both teeth have had root canals but seem to be opposites in the way they have reacted. Before this I had temporary crowns and the discomfort was more with them, so the fitting of the actual crowns has lessened the funny sensation, I couldn't really brush my teeth with the temporary crowns but now I can.

So I guess what I am asking is, is it normal to have some discomfort after the crowns are fitted - it is not pain as such and I don't need to take any pain killers but when I bite it gives an uncomfortable spongy feeling.

Will this pain go away and is this normal or does anyone think I may have a 'problem' - I do hope I don't have to have the tooth extracted after spending £1000 on getting it 'mended'

Thanks all
