Q: Pain after appendix removal

I had surgery(laparoscopic) to have my appendix removed a month ago, and I have been having pain in that same area since a week later. My appendix was imflamed but I was told not ruptured. I also had excessive scar issue around the appenddix that had to be removed. The pain is sharp and throbbing at times, especially if I sit straight up for a long period of time, or when I walk around alot. I have had several blood test to check for infections and even a pelvic ultrasound but nothing showed up. When I have a pelvic exam completed they push down on that area and it is very tender to touch and causes very bad pain for serval hours afterwards. The doctors are not sure what could be the problem. My doctor states the only way to find the issue is to have another surgery performed. Another solution?

i too suffer after an appendectomy. As i drove to the emg room it felt as if a spear went through from the back of my upper rear through to my abdomen and i couldn't walk right after surgery. ? doc said it is normal . i was fine for three months. then the pain and numbing started on my right side. right leg is in constant pain for one year now. I take pills and epidural shots in spine. but wondering why there is no other people who find this common as well as some type of knowledge about what nerves could be damaged ????!!! help.!

Pain after appendix removal
I too have similar symptoms periodically, after having my appendix removed over 2 years ago. My right side (ribcage & back) becomes uncomfortable and sometimes, somewhat blotted feeling on right side (weird). No fever, but it has a sensation of warmth on the right side at times and a aching under my shoulder-blade on my back (right-side). Sometimes after getting rest the discomfort subsides The doctor has not been able to come up with an explanation; other than possibly scaring tissue are muscular related.
