Hi, I'm wondering who else has experience with an overlapping pinky toe. Since I was little, both of my pinky toes have sat just off the ground, not quite touching. Over the last couple of years my right one has lifted to over 1/4 inch off the ground. It now overlaps the next toe all the time. I find that when I walk barefoot or in flip flops, the toe will often ride up even higher and overlap even more. If I try to flex it back down it just ends up back on top of the next toe. Often I don' even realize it's doing this but at the same time I'm still getting used to my toe overlapping like that all the time. Just wondered who else had dealt with this.

P.S. I've found that the cause is a tendon imbalance and right now I'm not looking to spend $$ fixing it. There's no pain or discomfort so I guess I just have to get used to having an overlapping toe.

Raised Pinky Toes
Hello Jarrod, I have had raised pinky toes my entire life. My father calls them "scared toes". I am also pigeon toed, which is what I thought caused my toes to be raised. My footprint(unless forced) only shows four toes. I have found that massaging from the top and bottom tendons of the pinky all the way up the side of my leg to the hip every night has helped it lower back down to the ground, however the results are temporary. Thank you for your post, I am now going to seek a physician to have them corrected.

I have the same problem,,i even thought my mum had put me in inadequate shoes so squashing my pinkie toe in to deform it,,,that was until i met my real Dad,,,who has exactly the same sitting up pinkie toe. x

AND,,,,most people iv spoken to about overlapping pinkie toes,,,it seems that its mostly men that are affected,,,,iv NEVER met another girl with toes like mine. x

Pinky toes
Well guess what? I'm a girl, and I have overlapping pinky toes on both feet. They've been like this my entire life. I'm currently 25 years old.
