Hi,

I recently realised that i am eating, no matter hungry or not, because i am afraid not to to do harm to my health by undereating (as i used to do while anorexia)and i dont purge or laxatives, cause that harm as well (as i did during bulimia). Confused

Could u share ur advice or ideas and tricks , how the compalsivity can be overcome and eat when really hungry and stop when no more hungry?

Please help

PS i am in a healthy weight now and am rather a binge eater. Earlier suffered with anorexia, resulting in amenorea....and afterwords with bulimia.

You need to get control of your diet and yourself. Stop junk foods, and try portion control. Try eating vegetarian foods, salads, soups, grilled and steamed foods, low fat foods, turkey, and fruits. Fruit is a great way to fill up when you are hungry. Cereals are low calorie and good for you too.

I agree with Suzana...Try to eat smaller portions of food during the day and substitute fruit for the junk foods.

What is food replacing or covering up?
Overeating has so much more to do with life than with food. What are you substituting food for?

I've also had problems with over eating. My suggestion is very simple, but not easy. Make a conscious decision to stop. I tried drinking hot tea, going for a walk, or calling a trusted friend. Don't beat yourself up if you do over eat, just do better next time.
