Depends. Why do you think you have an overactive thyroid? Sometimes the symptoms can be vague. But the range for "normal" is also vague and what may be normal for you isn't normal for someone else. Is your TSH on the low-end of normal? Have you ever had a thyroid test before?

Have they tested you for anti-thyroid antibodies?

hi myrahu thank you for your reply, i had a blood test at the doctors dont know what it was she just said it was normal but im so down now and dont know what to do ive got ching joints tired all the time, cant lose weight my hair has gone brittle and breaking my nails are so brittle and i have really bad headaches i have no social life now im so tired and dont want to do anything i wake in the night with the bed soaking with sweating and in the day i cant stand the cold or the heat im so desperate now and dont know what to do thank you queenie
