If what you're feeling was caused by pregnancy, a pregnancy test would be positive. Pregnancy symptoms are caused by pregnancy hormones. Those hormones are what the tests detect. If you don't have enough hormone to trigger a positive test, you don't have enough hormone to cause symptoms.

To answer your question, yes it's possible to not be able to see a pregnancy on ultrasound. An unborn baby that's only 4 or 5 weeks along is very tiny. But you would have a positive pregnancy test, especially if you're feeling sick every morning.

If you think you might be pregnant, take a pregnancy test.

A pregnancy test should be accurate about 14 days after unprotected sex. As far as symptoms, that varies with each woman and each pregnancy. Some women experience no symptoms at all besides a missed period. A missed period is usually the first and most accurate symptom, since everything else can be caused by other things.

You can take a test at home and it'll be accurate. Or you can go to Planned Parenthood or a Pregnancy testing center (you should be able to find something in your phone book) and be tested for free.
