Q: ovary pain post hysterectomy

I am 4 weeks post op lavh due to fibroids, suspected endometriosis, and personal preference...I kept ovaries, they appeared healthy to DR at surgery. Are those things just floating around in there? One of my ovaries is larger than the other and I feel it like it is just bouncing around in there. My DR. released me for any excersize I feel up to trying, but sometimes just walking a while causes ovary pain. And then I feel a pulsing pain vein attatched from the ovary to the knee and back.

Will this go away after I firm up more, I am overweight. Was almost no physical activity before surgery because of symptoms and I can seperate regular muscle fatigue from this ovary pain. I knew what to expect through all this exept I didn't think to ask what happens to ovaries that stay, I just didn't need them out and I need hormones. It isn't a PMS pain either.

It feels like my ovary is this little ball attatched to a vein through my leg and it is getting bounced around until it feels bruised and PAINFUL.

THANKS!
Candimarie

Hi Candimarie: Why don't you call the doctor and ask him these questions?...They are great questions...If he is busy ask to talk to his nurse...She, too, is wise and able to answer you on this....Good luck...
