I'm wondering if the pain i feel is what you get with a cyst because i'm getting the same pain i got when i knew one was there, a bruised feeling behind the cervix. I have to sit with weight on one side or i get a sharp pain where a period pain would be. Even movements and wind makes it feel like your pressing a very very sensitive bruise, does it sound like one?

i have a cyst on my right ovary. my doctor said it's small so he's not going to do anything. i had lite cramps. but i did get spotting for weeks at a time. my response to you is you have to go to the doctor and tell him your symptoms, be stern with him and tell him you want tests done to rule certain things out. i m hearing a lot of people tell me that their doctors tell them he doesnt know what's wrong. they dont have to know, but it's their duty to give you tests.
it took my doctor a year to find out what's wrong with me and treat me. i had a cyst and i have dysfunctional uterine bleeding which means i ve taken all the tests to rule out fibroid turmors, infection, cancer etc. and they dont know why i was bleeding like i was so they call it dysfunctional bleeding. i m on the pill to regulate my period. meaning i still have the problem but it's being covered up.

hmm I don't know I'll just let you know what I experienced when I had one it was on the large side though and see if it helps. I had stabbing pain in my lower back and where period pain would be I would get like stiff when I sat in one spot for a long time and getting out of chairs would give me stabbing pains like in my ovaries. I went to my regular gyn and had an ultrasound done and she found nothing wrong. I laid in the bed for like three days because moving was horrid until I decided to go the the emergency room where they told me I had a cyst. if your docs are flaking out and you have great insurance go to the the emergency room tell them your in a crap load of pain and they will run a zillion test and scans until they figure out whats wrong. I had xrays mri's all types of things and they found it when it was on the verge of rupturing and my gyn found nothing.
