Hi,
Have been unwell since October now, really getting me down .
First scan showed I had small ovarian cysts, then doctor sent me to a Sexual Health Clinic, of all places, and when they examined me they said my cervix was really inflamed and I had a cervical polyp.
The polyp has been removed and sent to histology, nothing serious. I have had another scan since and it has come back abnormal saying I now have a right ovarian cyst.
I have had loads of bleeding in between my periods, sometimes lasting for two weeks. I keep getting pelvic pain and aching and loads of pressure like feeling.
I have been referred to a gynaecologist but have to wait 5 weeks for the appointment.
Don't know what to do or think. Can anyone help?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

I am really sorry to hear about you.The symptoms reported by you indicate that along with the ovarian cyst possibility of endometritis is also there. It usually presents with heavy irregular bleeding and pelvic pain.Cysts can also cause heavy bleeding.
You require a pelvic examination and investigations as Hormonal Analysis,Pap smear which would help in ruling out the cause. On the basis of that treatment would be started.Since I am not examining you it is difficult to comment.Kindly wait for the appointment.
Take care!

I have kind of the same thing. where are your back aches? if its on the right shoulder area maybe its a gallbladder attack, dont freak but be sure to get tested at the doctors!! Important thing is to not freak yourself out because it wont help plus itll just make it harder on your body!! just calmly wait and make the apt Smile
