Hello Smile
I'm 22 yrs old and for the first time ( if I don't count the times during my first yrs of menstruating) my period is late.
My last period was on the 8th of May and at this time I was having 26 and less days cycles due ( before this time my period was on every 30/31 days).
Also I would like to note that I'm experiencing some menstrual-like cramps which come and go occasionally,my breasts seem heavy and sore and I'm very cranky and moody.
No nausea or vomiting what so ever.

I would like to note that almost 4 months ago I've been diagnosed with cyst on my left ovary aprox. 5 cm in diameter.I've been having this cyst problems when I was younger too,but my period was never late like this.
I had unprotected sex with my husband before my ovulation but I guess I had miscalculated my fertility days.

I was wondering if I could be pregnant or all this is due to my ovarian cyst problem.I'm still waiting to take a home pregnancy test as I'm worried that the result will be negative which will make me think that someone's wrong with me.
Is it normal that my period is so late because of for instance my cyst got bigger or ruptured?I just want to add that I don't have any significant abdominal pain except some bloating, gas and time to time lil cramp.

Any advice/thought/opinion would be greatly appreciated.

A million thanks Smile

I couldnt tell you if it's a cyst or a pregnancy. i do want to tell you that if it isn't a pregnancy you should do everything you can to get it removed. about a year ago i had an ovarian cyst removed that was about 10cm in diameter. i didnt even know about it because i had never been to the gyno. the way i found out was bcuz i started getting abdominal pain out of no where and it kept worstening. i've never had a baby but i felt like i was in labor. i was taken to the hospital but everyone thought it was kidney stones. finally i had it removed, the doctor told me that it was big and that he would do everything he could to keep my ovary but he had to also remove the ovary but it was merged. there was no way he could keep it. so if you can avoid yourself that trouble just remove it before it gets bigger and you are forced to have it removed. the doctor said that the reason it was hurting so much was because it was twisting inside of me.

sorry i wasnt much help of answering your question. =)
