I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I havent been well for quite a while, I've been going back & for to the dr's & i've had a few blood tests for thyroid, hormones & so. My symptoms have been extreme tiredness, weight gain, night sweats or I am freezing cold through the day, morning sickness & I'm not pregnant (hubby's had the snip) lower back pain, (it feels like a burning pain) pelvic pressure & pain, my periods have become irregular for the past 6 months and quite light now but last for up to 8 days which is long for me & is mostly brown discharge, they use to last 3 days & were really heavy. I am always needing to pee, I have swelling in the ankle especially after walking (my excercise). Heartburn & gas. Everytime I go to my dr's, I see a different one, I've been told i'm getting old & over weight its just one of those things! (i'm 35 & a size 14 uk size) by one dr, the following dr told me i was going through the early menopause because my blood test showed my hormone levels to be 126 but the following month they went up to 1377. She put me on hormone replacment tablets (which I havent taken) My thyroid is fine, it came back as 13.5. I then went for a scan last Friday & they told me I had a enlarge right ovary, she couldnt see any cysts (or babies) but it could be inside the ovary & to come back in 6 weeks, I was only interested in getting to the nearest toilet as I was busting for a pee again, she said that my bladder was only half full. Any way I left the hospital not really worrying. I came home & had a look at the symptoms & ovarian cancer kept showing, so...I went back to the dr's on monday & she said that she had the report back, it said that they found an enlarged ovary with a cyst of 5cm x 4 cm, so I said that they said there wasnt a cyst & then she said well what it actually reads is an unexplained solid mass of 5cmx4cm with no fluid. I asked her should I be worried and she said 'there is no red flags on the report but I'm not going to say dont worry'!! aaaaaargh, now i'm worrying. Anyway, my lovely mum has paid for me to go private, i saw a gp last night, he has refered me to a gyne who i am seeing this monday. The gp thinks it could be endometriosis, i have 4 children so fertility hasnt been a problem, i havent had pain during intercourse or going to the toilet and these seem to be the main symptoms of endometriosis. I am sorry this is so long but has anyone had similar experiences.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Sometimes the endometrial tissue gets out and can literally wrap itself around the bladder, kidneys stomach area...places in the pelvic area and wreck havoc and not have issue of fertility. They just removed a large (U.S. 13.4 lbs) ovarian cystic mass from me last week. We found it because we were looking for reasons as to why my bladder was acting up. Sometimes the only way to deal with it is to open you up and remove it all. I didn't have ovarian cancer, which was a blessing. I did have weight gain, loss of energy sometimes in a major way..feeling like you were suddenly deflated...gas majorly but sometimes especially when eating certain foods...but never a hot flash, or the usual suspects that women have in terms of symptoms. Keep pushing them and don't hold off until you have something major. Make the system stand up and take notice and do something. That's what they are there for.
