My wife has been having medical issues for about a year now. A year ago, we weren't married and she didn't have insurance so I was paying for everything out of pocket. We decided to get married so she could have insurance. Since then, it seems like I'm still paying a lot out of pocket. Copays are 20/40, 1000 deductible with a 500 reimbursement from my work which I already received. 80 copay for tests. She's had abnormal cells in her uterus and cervix (CIN III)... She needs to get the LEEP procedure done in a few weeks. The IUD she had in moved probably from the "scrapes" or whatever tests she had done for the CIN III and she got pregnant. We didn't find this out until she started bleeding a few weeks ago. The doctor told us she was 8 weeks pregnant and that she was going through a miscarriage. It seems like every week I'm paying, literally, $300 out of pocket, at least. Not to mention the prescriptions I have to get filled for her. It's hard enough that I'm worried about her, but now I'm just out of money at this point. In a way, it just seems unbelievable that I pay $120 per week for insurance, and am now paying an average of about $300 per week on copays, and tests.
What can I do here? I need some help and advice because I'm losing my mind.
