I'm looking for anyone who could maybe shed some light on this subject. I have let my addiction go completely out of control and am not sure where to turn. I have been abusing OTC sleeping medication (generic pain reliever/sleep medication..like Tylenol PM) for at least the past 10 yrs. I am at the point that I take these pills by the handful more than once a day. With out ANY exageration, I typically take between 25-35 pills at a time. I have done this as I said before for at least 10yrs. I was once abusing OTC medicine that contained ephedrine. Naturally the logical choice in my mind was to take the sleep medicine to "come down" off of the ephedrine buzz. When I recognized what that was doing to me I somehow managed to quit taking the ephedrine pills. When I take these sleeping pills I am a walking zombie. Not only endangering myself but my family and co-workers as well. I am fortunate to be able to drive an IMCA Modified but I am constantly putting myself, other racers and spectators at risk being on these pills. It is effecting my marriage as you can understand.
ANY advice will be greatly appreciated.
