Q: Osteomylitis & Severe Disc space narrowing

I was diagnosed w/ Osteomylitis in May of 2007. In Oct. 2007 I received 4 wks. of IV antibiotics. Because of waiting & not getting treatment immediately, I've suffered permanant damage including severe disc space narrowing. I had another MRI on Oct. 8th, 2009. This showed there is still some infection, along w/ damage to the bones, as well as the disc space narrowing. My Dr. has reffered me to Infectious Disease for treatment for the infection & also to neurosurgery for the Severe Disc Space Narrowing. My questions are:Can more IV antibiotics completely clear up the infection & what is the normal treatment for the disc space narrowing?
