You shouldnt break out. If you are taking external medicines for your skin, you should be ok. I see a dermatologist for my skin because the pill I am on right now, gave me horrible acne. The medicines (all topical) are working but not 100% and I think its because of my pills. I say go for it! I had a friend back in High School who went on Ortho Tricyclen for acne and with in 3months, her skin was perfect. She went off the pill a couple of yrs ago and she said she still does get a pimple here and there but for the most part, it has gone away. My mom always says as you get older, it starts to go away so you should be good. If you notice break outs again after stopping it, there is no harm and going back on the pill to control it. At least you know then what to do.

I was on Diane 35 for about six years and when I had to stop the pills, the acne came back but I also have a hormonal imbalance which is the cause of my acne. If you don't have this problem then the acne shouldn't come back.

You also may want to know that you can not avoid getting a pimple ever. They are caused by clogged pores so you will get them at some point in your life. If there was a way for people to never get acne again, I'm sure dermatologists would be informing people of it. I know mine would.

You should be alright if you continue your other medications. If all else fails and the breakouts return, you can always just get back on birth control
