Q: Ortho Evra and period

I have currently been on Ortho Evra for the last two months. I forgot to get my script refilled so i went pretty much all of November without it. My boyfriend from California was coming for thanks giving so i made sure to go get back on OE. I got my period the monday before thanksgiving (so last monday) I put on the patch just to start it so I wouldnt forget.

The boyfriend and I of course had intercourse seeing as we do not live with eachother. He did ejaculate inside of me, but I'm not fearing a pregnancy really seeing as I have read alot about OE. Mostly about when i can have unprotected sex since i've been so inconsistant with it.

But what i'm worried about is since its monday, ive been having this period for 7 days now, which is completely unlikely seeing as mine (with or without OE) never lasts more than 3 days.

Any help?

It's mild bleeding, and goes away at night usually. :/ It's to the point where if i didnt wear covering I'd be completely embarrassed within two hours.

The hormones are probably just a little wacky right now since you just started the patch and then was off it and then back on.

If your period doesn't stop (or at least go to just spotting) within the next week then you should speak with a doctor. It's probably just the hormones, but nothing is wrong with double checking.

Ok, have you spoken with your doctor yet? I'm not sure about specifics with the patch, but it sounds like either the patch isn't for you, or you need a different dosage of hormones. Go back to your prescriber and explain your symptoms.
