So I've been using Ortho Evra for the past 4 years as usual, but at times I don't take the patch off so that I can skip periods. I have no intentions for children, therefore I don't feel it's really necessary to have a period other than to make sure I'm not pregnant. Therein lies the problem.. I took my patch off Wednesday morning and it's now Friday afternoon.. I'm somewhat crampy and moody, but still no period! From what I recall OE *always* does this to me, but there's always worry accompanied with a late period..

Has anyone else experienced this?

I imagine I would be a little more concerned about being pregnant, but it's 99.7% effective and less than 1 in 100 people (that use OE correctly) get pregnant on it in a year. I take the patches off on the same day every week around the same time. I also tried a pregnancy test yesterday and it read negative. Either way I just wanna be sure. My boyfriend has never ejaculated while in me, but I thought that he might've accidentally on Sunday.

Anytime you use birth control in any way except the recommended time/ dosage, you run the risk that your period will be early, late or irregular. There's no way to know if you are pregnant this early.
