i recently had to change my birth control (Linessa) which i was on for two years but had to change due to mood swings my Dr decided to put me on ortho evra. i thought that was fine until i read that it could increase my breast size which terrifies me because i had just had a breast reduction almost a year ago and defiantly do not want to have to endure that again so im just wondering if it would be safe for me to take that .. i really dont want them to become too large again. ANY info would be great thank you

Extremely eHealthy
Since you are concerned about increased breast size as a side effect of ortho evra, you may talk with your GYN about other type of birth control pills known as Progestin-only pills or combined oral contraceptive pills that only contain 20 mcg of estrogen (it's mainly estrogen that have effect on breast size)

I'll suggest you not to go on ortho evra, because its estrogen dose is 60% higher than that of birth control pills, and it is three times more likely to cause blood clots leading to heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism and other serious side effects.

Best wishes!
Marija
