Hello,

I have an oral mucocele, as diagnosed by my dentist. I've got an appointment with the oral surgeon to have it removed, but the appointment is not for a month. In the meantime, my mucocele (had it for about a year and a half now) constantly grows and shrinks, sometimes within the course of a day. It goes from almost flat to extremely inflammed & visible to others. What causes this? I was deducing that it was something to do with diet (sodium?), but would like to know so I can try to keep it small.

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.
