I have an open rash high on my left inner thigh in the bend when the thigh meets the buttocks. It doesn't go up to my scrotum but its not far away. It looks a lot like road rash.
I've had it for at least a week, maybe two.
I have tried neosporin but nothing.
Its very superficial but is irritating and there is a little fissure(??) just above it all.
I have pics if there is a way to post them.

Hi Weezy1981 and welcome to ehealth: Sometimes medication can make a rash itch worse...With the fissure above it and it not wanting to heal on its own, I would consider having it checked over by a physician...Have you tried Cedaphil?...This is not as sticky as Neosporin...I hope this helps...Take care...

Well, I got it looked at for anyone wondering...
It's a dag-gum yeast infection that I got while taking a 10-day run of antibiotics for a cut finger.
No girlfriend at the moment so it didn't come from that.
I guess I must have scratched myself down there after making a sandwich or something. lol
I started thinking that it might actually be a yeast infection after I stopped using the neosporin and still had what looked like residual neosporin or flaking skin like after a sun burn but wet skin.
It honestly looked like what you get when you dry your hands with a paper towel and it starts rubbing off on your hand because they are too wet....I hope some of that makes sense. I tried to paint the best picture I could.
The Dr confirmed yeast by a visual inspection and told me to get some monistat and I should be good in a few days.
