So, I have been reading until me eyes have dried out, and it appears that by now I should have gained a significant amount of weight. I'm 28 weeks and teeter between 6-9 lbs more that pre-pregnancy. I weighed about 160 before I was pregnant, I'm 5'7" and have only gain under 10 pounds??? The baby is VERY much alive in there, my bubble is pretty large now. I don't understand. Is this normal? My OB and Midwife don't appear concerned about (assuming they've kept track.)

Hey there,

Im in the same boat as you, I've only gained a total of 11 lbs so far with this pregnancy & I am going to be 33 weeks tomorrow. I figure as long as your OB and midwife don't have a problem with it and you are getting all the nutrients you need from a balanced diet then you should be fine. Consider yourself lucky, with my first pregnancy I put on 36lbs. The more weight you put on the longer it takes post partum to lose it all. Good luck & I wish you all the best! Smile
