I had a terrible pain in my upper abdomen in 2006 so I rushed myself to the hospital and it turned out I had gallstones. Unfortunately I still get the upper abdomen pain. I was told maybe I had an ulcer, but I got blood work to test for the fungus and it was negative. It has been over 2 years and I still don't know what it is. Can someone help me with this?

ongoin upper abd. pain
try asking your doctor for an upper GI endoscopy, also if they havent tested for infection yet, see if they can rule out H.pylori, also you may have to get a HIDA scan to rule out disease of the bile ducts, keep me posted

RE:
Smiley51404, you mentioned that they found gallstones. Did they ever remove your gallbladder? If not, then that's most likely what needs to happen. My cousin had pains like that for years until they removed the gallbladder. I now have that pain, but was told I don't have stones. I had a HIDA scan with normal results. They tell me that even though my results are normal, that I probably need to have my gallbladder taken out as well. Hope you've been feeling better and that you don't have anymore problems. I know it can be so annoying and hopeless living with this pain.
