im 18, last winter I was hit in the back with a snowboard. The snowboard hit my lower back on the left side, right above my hip bone. The pain was there for a month. The pain was a stinging sensation and the skin felt numb. However, there was no bruising. It has been almost a year and I still feel the same pain symptoms once every other week. What is the problem? What could be injured, my muscles, nerves, or bones? Thanks everyone!

It sounds like you have a problem with the nerves and you need evaluation if you are still having a problem.

I would suggest that you start with your primary care doctor and then proceed with a referral from him/her to see a spinal surgeon for evaluation.

good luck and let us know how you are.
