Ok so here is the dealy-o:I am 30 years old and I have for the last 3 weeks had a fever that comes on after say 4:00 PM and slowly rises until bed (10:00ish). The highest it has been so far is 102.7 and usually its 101.5. When I awaken in the morning it has gone down to maybe 100.0 and by noon I am usually normal or right around 99.

Now other things to note are that I have been to the doc who thought it was mono but that test came back negative, he also did some blood work that says I have "high liver levels" whatever that means, so they want me to do a liver ultra sound......which I have yet to schedule.

also I have red bumps clustered on my elbows and they have spread to my hands (knuckles really) and I guess my spleen is sore (when I burp it send a delightful pain in the spleen area)

Any solution?
I have the EXACT same symptoms, even the high liver enzyme. Did you figure it out?

Kinda figured it out
The doctor told me I had a severe sinus infection and put me on some high powered anti-biotic. It took two weeks after I have completed the anti-biotic before the itchy red bumps went away from my hands and feet

Thanks for responding
Did you have any obvious sinus symptoms during the episode? I always have some sinus infection going on, though right now it doesn't seem that bad. Hopefully, that is all I have to worry about.

As you probably know, when you google "Mystery Fever" all kinds of horrible things pop up. Thanks so much for responding.

no problem
I had no real sinus symptoms....as a matter of fact I thought it was strange that he diagnosed me with a sinus infection because I was breathing through my nose just fine, no real drainage just the fever and the red bumps.

and yes I read through a ton of the "mystery fever" web pages and there is some scary stuff out there
