Q: One very swollen sore breast

For over a week my left breast has been getting bigger(a cup size) and been very painful even to the lightest touch. The other one is fine so I'm a bit nervous.Before/during my periods I have had them both slightly swell but nothing like this, I also haven't had a period in a while due to Mirena IUD. I have made an app. but won't be seen by the PA for another week. Has anyone been though this and is there anything I can do to ease the pain?

Ice pack and / or ibuprofen may help.

Can you not be seen sooner? Do they know how much pain you are in? Like maybe you could be worked in...or go to the emergency room.

I will definatly give that a try.
I am looking to make another appointment with a diffrent doc. who can see me sooner(and dosen't have rude staff) but if it gets any worse I am going to the urgent care clinic.
