Q: One tonsil still swollen

I was diagnosed with mono two weeks ago. A few days ago both my tonsils became very swollen. The swelling has gone down on one side but on the other there is no noticeable improvement.When I swallow there is pressure inside my ear on the swollen side. Is this normal with mono?
