Q: One leg short syndrome

I am 28 years old and my left right is slightly shorter than the left one. I have had this problem, but now it is becoming even more noticeable and uncomfortable. I have started to limp more, either I have my weight on either of my legs, as it is uncomfortable to balance the weight.
It was not as bad earlier, does this problem grow with age?
Also what doctor can I go see for it, and what is the best treatment?

I would think that this problem, untreated would worsen with age. The longer you put more stress on one of the legs, the more pain you will experience. I think you should see a podiatrist. The doctor may recommend that you get customized shoes to even out the difference in length.

Now that I think about it, you may need to go to your regular doctor first. Depending on your insurance, you may need to get a referral before you can see a specialist. The doctor will advise you as to where you should go next, a podiatrist or an orthopedic specialist.

If you don't need a referral then you should call and ask. I'm sure the receptionist can let you know if you are in the right place.
Good luck.
