One for the men Posted: 04-22-08 20:10pm
Is it safe to say that a guy can break up
with a girl to test her? As if how she
would react to him not being with her
anymore? (maybe he think she may be too
clingly or so on)
And how often is it that a guy goes back
to a girl that he dumps? whats the average
amount of time he waits to do this?
(teenage boys or men too)
Thanks for any replies.

I've never heard of this. If someone
breaks up with you, it's most likely they
just no longer wish to be with you. I
could see a teen doing this but not a
grown man.I wouldn't get back with him
either.

Willa, men will be boys. That's a fact of
life. lol. Yes I've heard of this, but
more in a 'if you love someone set them
free' setup. If you have to set someone
free to see if they want to be with you,
you should grow up. If my boyfriend does
not want to be with me, then so be it.
Don’t get me wrong - it will break my
heart, but I’m not going to beg him to
be with me.

Lol I know. I just don't see an older man
breaking up with a girl based on a test. I
mean, i could depending on the maturity
level but. . . You know what I mean?

my boyfriend is 21 and he has anger issues
and everytime he is having a bad day, or
we get in a small argument, he says he
thinks we should break up. but then 10
minutes later he says hes kidding.
ive been with him for over a year.

I think that is more anger issue than a
test though.

Clinging to something like that seems like
wishful thinking to me.
I think when they are testing things they
more refer to it as a "break". But
honestly, why would you want to be with a
guy that would pull something like that
anyways? I just think it would be more
preferable to be with a guy that tells you
things upfront and doesn't put you through
days/weeks/months of wondering if its
really over or what you did wrong.
