Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you had been sexually active without protection after finishing with periods, you can be at risk for pregnancy, as you get closer to your ovulation time after you finish with your periods. The light bleeding/spotting after few days of intercourse could suggest possibility of implantation bleed (if you are pregnant), or of ovulation bleed (if you are not pregnant), or breakthrough bleeding. If the symptoms persist, or if you develop any new symptoms, or if you miss your next periods, visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. Avoid having intercourse during menstrual bleeding, as the chances of infection increase. If pregnancy gets ruled out, and if you are not ready for pregnancy, but intend to remain sexually active, you should consider visiting your gynecologist to get started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after your periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact if you are not ready for pregnancy.
Take care.
