Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Few women experience heavy bleeding as side effect of getting started on the Depo shot. If the bleeding has prolonged and is still present, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation to look for the underlying cause for the abnormal and prolonged periods/vaginal bleeding. Hormonal derangements, thyroid abnormalities, endometrial hyperplasia etc should be ruled out. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination and investigations results) would be started to help you to control the bleeding and regulate periods. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
