I'm on seasonale birth control but i messed up, didn't think anything of it, and kept having unprotected sex. however, for the past two weeks i've been feeling odd. I might just be paranoid but to make sure i'm not pregnant, i want to stop taking the pill for exactly one week so i can get my period (or not). If i do this and do get my period will i be okay to keep taking the pill as normal because it will be the same amount of time as if i had just taken the white pills? i am exactly one month into this package and ive been on seasonale for a while. If this is not a good idea then what should i do? i dont want to have to speak to my doctor just yet...
Thanks in advance Smile

No. Do not disturb your pill routine. Stopping taking your pills and expecting a withdrawal bleed is NOT a sure way to test whether you are pregnant or not. Taking a home pregnancy test 17-18 days after the last time you had unprotected sex is.

Messing up your pill schedule will only further your risks of becoming pregnant. Stay on your normal schedule!
