Q: on nuvaring no period

I have been on the nuvaring faithfully for months. Last month i got no period just a slight red discharge, and now it's day 4 without the ring and still no period, but at home pregnancy tests that i got from the dollar tree.. cheap but they worked in the past, all say negative. What's going on
