I've been taking the nuvaring for over a year. Before that I was on the patch for over six months but I did not like it( a lot of body shaking once a put it on). I loved the nuvaring. I never had any side effects. But just this month I missed my period. I been following the rules exactly. I called my doctor and she said to take a pregnancy test. I took the pregnancy test and it came back negative. My doctor said that if it comes back negative to start the ring on the day I would have started it. I am just concerned that I still may be pregnant and if so that the inserted ring will harm the baby. Like I said that I've been on the ring for over a year and never had this problem. What should I do?
