"ADHD children also tend to have more allergies, eczema, asthma, headaches, stomachaches, ear infections and dry skin than non-ADHD youngsters," note Donald Rudin, M.D. and Clara Felix, authors of Omega-3 Oils: A Practical Guide (Avery 1996).

The connection between omega-3 fatty acid deficiency and ADHD has been confirmed by studies in which youngsters with ADHD, when compared with non-ADHD children had much lower blood levels of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 fatty acid necessary for normal function of the eyes and the cerebral cortex (the brain region that handles higher functions such as reasoning and memory).

There is a unique type of Omega 3:

Plant Omega 3 from Sage Oil-
* Natural development
* Safe to use (for all ages)
* Without danger of metals (Ocean pollution)
* Without danger of oxygenation or oxygenating
* No allergens or damaging materials
* No side effects
* Can be taken with blood thinning medicines.

Omega 3s do indeed help ADHD and they may be a contributing factor but there are many other reasons for ADHD- mainly genetic.

I take fish oil and it helps my ADHD but it doesn't make it go away.

genetics, omega 3s, and ADHD
Genetics is programmed patterns of how we react to our environment - we can change our program with our own consciousness just as our ancestors did to create the issue.

Omega 3s help nourish healthy neurological activity but are just one of many synergistic elements that are needed - the single bullet approach is the narrow-minded view that pharmacological treatments try to follow, nutritional professionals usually know better.

A variety of holistic therapy resources can help people overcome limitations of ADHD tendencies. Unless Omega 3 deficiency is the only factor involved, supplementing with Omega 3s will only provide partial resolution or improvement.

Re: Omega-3 Fatty Acids & ADHD
Omega 3 is very useful for the brain. DHA is also the part in it. Fatty acids and DHA combined to give health to brain in all forms. Take Omega 3 fatty acid daily to your diet. It will be got from certain vegetables and other foods. But make sure you are taking the right foods which contains omega 3.
