Old hernia repair

I have had 3 hernia repairs, the one on the right side was done twice about 10 years apart. The second repair was done about 4 years ago and the doctor told me it was difficult dealing with the old scar tissue from the first operation. Today the area is sore and slightly puffy, but the issue is tender testicles and shooting pains from time to time in my penis. Best guess from the docs in prostitis. Or, does inflamation of the prostate ever cause inflamation of the spermatic cord which causes the other issues?
