ok for me to go ahead with removing uterus at this age?

i am 33 yrs old , i am fed up having mtp's , need to get an frank opinion as to its ok for me to go ahead with removing uterus at this age so that i dont need the emotional breaking down . I already have one kid and that should be enough for me . i understand there are side efects , however i heard many woman also have some problem n then they also go for the same procedure .is my decision safe ?

Hi pull0 and welcome to ehealth: This is something that you should talk over with your OB-GYN...Sure our monthly cycles can be a pain, but missing an important part of your womanly make up is also a pretty big step to take at any age...I had mine out at 47 years old...BUT, I had to do this...My periods were so bad that I became anemic from the fibroids that had grown inside me....One more important thing is that you don't really know if you may want another child...As far as your decision being safe, I am sure with a competent physician that it would be....Yet, the mental anguish just may prey on your decision...Think it over and then think it over again...My best to you....Take care...
