I had a medical abortion about six weeks ago at 6 weeks and 1 day through the pregnancy, I bled quickly after taking the pills (about 40 mins after taking them) and passed a lot of blood and clots quickly. After the pain died down I then had period-like bleeding with clots for about a week and spotting for about a week after that.

For two weeks after the spotting stopped I was fine, having normal sex with my partner, no pain or bleeding caused by it. I did get the flu during this time though and coughing hurt my womb if I did it too much.

My first period was about 5 days later than I think it should have been which didn't overly concern me but the period was virtually painless (I usually have to take painkillers for the first two days and have had to do that for years) The bleed wasn't too much lighter than usual but was supposed to have stopped a week ago, I've been spotting pink, mainly an hour or so after sexual activity or strait away when going to the bathroom. Pretty much noting at all has been coming out on pads it's only when wiping. I did get one rush of red blood a few days ago but it hasn't returned since. For the first time it's been brown today which then turned clear like the end of my periods. I was happy it was over but I had sex and the brown came back again right away.

I have an appointment booked at the doctors for two days time but I'm concerned that there is something wrong with me that isn't abortion related and that my doctor will just put it down to the abortion without really looking into what's wrong with me.

Is this kind of bleeding normal? Or at least possibly related to the abortion? I would have thought that being clean for two weeks, having a normal-ish period and then spotting would have meant it was nothing to do with the abortion at all. I have an anxiety disorder and the stress of thinking it's possibly cancer is making me suicidal so any help or similar stories would be greatly appreciated.
