I am a new dad and a dd is behaving more strangely than even I could imagine.

She is now 4 days old.
all day she sleeps, with or without us, swaddled or not swaddled, in her bassinett or not.

We have to wake her ever 3 hours for feeding, or she will sleep for 5 hour stints.
never is sick, seldom burps, and falls asleep during feeding, (almost believe she is drugged)

as soon as evening arrives, she goes NUTS.
feeds, and wants to feed, every 15 min. Because my wifes milk is in, dd GETS WAY TOO MUCH FOOD, making her sick.
she crys hard, and goes wild. If I try and hold her she flails wildly trying to root. if she gets the breast she will feed endlessly. until sick. if she comes off, she tries to feed again.

this goes all night. Is this normal? last night, I resorted to co sleeping. it was the only way to get her to settle. at all.
