I feel occassional sharp pain on left hip mustle whenever mustle is strined when left leg is slightly bent from vertical. Pressure helps to reduce the pain and on readjustment of leg the pain gradually disappears. This happen in standing as well as sitting positions. Can anyone suggest remedy or exercise?

Sounds to me like arthritis from wearing down of the cartilage in the hip....I guess if it was me I would try to stay away from that position...Put your weight on your other hip when you can....

It would depend upon your age, if this suggestion would help...Physical therapy might be an option to think about....

Good luck,
Caroline
