nuvaring makes vagina sore

i used the nuvaring for a month, took it out as i was supposed to and havent put it back in since then due to the fact that it made me feel depressed. but while having it in, whenever me nd my boyfriend had sex or he did oral on me, everything was okay. but not, since i have been off it, he been doing oral on me, nd everytime i feel like my "cherry" is popping all over again. nd i seem to be very, very sore nd telling him to stop because it hurts so bad nd he even said i feel tighter. do you know what happened? was it due to the nuvaring?
