Q: Nuvaring fell out - restarting ?

My nuvaring accidentally came out I did not notice it until it was too late. I am out of town and will not be able to get back to it for a few days. Could I just leave it out and then start a new one in seven days as though it were the end of my third week on? (I was due to take it out in four days)

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
