i am having numbness on my left side of chest. i feel heavy just below my ribs on the left side. The numbness travels down upto my thighs and also behind my chest. Could it be due to some serious internal problem? Doctor gave me anti inflammatory and no effect. There's no pain , but just the numbness whcih i could feel. Felt it when i woke up in the morning, before 10 days and it's still there. Can someone tell which specialist i should see.

dear gans, I am 24 soon to be 25 yrs old. I have recurring numbness in my left chest and pains in my lower left rib cage also my heart beats extra fast out of no where to where it leaves me feeling helpless and feel like dying sometimes. I had gone to the emergency a few times for fainting n not being able to breath and they still found nothing wrong with me. They tried to drug me up on meds but i refused to take medication for something we dont know the cause for. I have an holter monitoring on the august 31st2012 for my heart to be monitored. My advice to you seek a cardiologist specialist asap. numbness in ur chest isnt a good sign. Numbness occurs when the blood flow in ur ateries are clogged resulting to loss of blood flow to the heart. Do yourself a favor and get a specialist now. Good luck and let me know how it goes !! Smile
