Hi,
I am not sure what is wrong but I started with what I thought was a trapped nerve in my shoulders. When this subsided I was left with a shooting pain (not unlike an electric shock) down my arm into my fingers. This subsided but again I am left with numbness in my little and ring fingers on both hands. My hands always feel cold and are starting to feel like they are siezing up.
This is now spreading all over my body as the other day in the shower I could not feel the razor on my legs or under my arms.
If I have an itch it is difficult to scratch as I don't know how hard I am pressing.
I can feel but it is like a loss of sensation rather than numb.
I lost nearly 5 stone in weight in just under 2 years for no apparent reason. My weight has yoyo'd for years but I have not been this thin for nearly 30 years.
I am starting to get worried now as all these things are not going away.
I live in Spain so have a little bit of a language barrier. So please before I go to the doctor here can you possibly give me some idea as to what could be wrong.

Kind Regards
Joanne

Hi there Joanne,

I am experiencing almost the same thing right now. Loss of sensation throughout my whole body, and my feet always feel extremely cold and like they're about to fall off anytime. This all started after a visit to an ENT doctor (ear nose throat) where he was supposed to remove some ear wax that could be causing dizziness. Anyways the pain was so excruciating, so I told him to stop. He wouldn't. And in the end I just pushed him away saying : I am fainting now, so you have to stop. He told me he didn't have time for that sort of nonsense and told me to go into another room. I was half conscious, and fainted again- properly this time. Was gone for quite a long time, and when I regained consciousness I felt numb all over. I couldn't walk for 2 weeks. Now I can walk, but I still feel very heavy, my muscles are very weak, and I have a definite loss of sensation. I am terrified that it will never get back to normal.

Has your situation gotten any better? I sincerly hope so. And if you have any advice on what to do I would greatly appreciate it.

Best wishes,
Julie
