Hey guys I was on the bus to school the other day when I started rubbing my tounge on the bump, on the roof of my mouth, I did this over and over again, then suddenly I could barely feel it anymore. I freaked out, biting my tounge to make sure I still had some sensation. Then I slowly began touching my face and scalp, not numb but reasonable different, like alot of the sensation had left. Freaking out, please help!

I am having the same problem. I had a panic attack in Febuary and it felt as though I couldn't feel the my tounge or my throat. I finally got feeling back and was ok for awhile but have been having times when I feel like I have lost sensation in my mouth and my throat. I have asked many doctors about this and almost all of them say this is caused by anxiety. I guess the only way to get rid of it is to stop the anxiety. I haven't been able to do that and I'm not quite sure how. I just want it to go away!
