Recently i noticed white layer on my tongue , but when i use mouth wash it disappear .Im using mouth wash from last 2 months,
Few days befor i decided to stop using that , and when i stop that white layer start again.

I have tested myself with TRI-DOT and Elisa both are NON-REACTIVE.

But my physician told me that TRIO-DOT is ordinary test , we cant trust that result . is it true ?
But i heard it is similar to forth generation ELISA.

I had protected sex with prostitute dont know exactly but almost 4-5 years back . may be condom broke

Dont understand what to do?

Two negative result still these symtoms. NOw im scared to retest again?


please help

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Both Tridot and ELISA, work on the same principle of detecting the antibody for HIV, and are reliable, when the test is done after 12 weeks of exposure.

In your case, since the exposure was about 4-5 years back, the test results are definitely reliable. And you definitely do not have HIV.

You might consult a doctor, who can do a culture of the scrapings from the oral cavity, to detect the cause of the whitish discoloration in your mouth.
