Q: Not ovulating properlty

Active User, very eHealthy

My period is now 5 weeks late and I am not pregnant. I went to the doctor and she said I was just not ovulating right and to come back in July if I dont get my period by then.
I was on the depo shot for a year and a half and it stopped my periods for about a year, but they had returned to normal for the last 8 months.

What could be causing this? does anyone else have this problem? I am not under any extra stress or anything.

Sometimes a woman just has an anovulatory cycle. I can't explain it, but I know it happens sometimes, for really no reason. I wouldn't worry unless it continues.

It may just be the cause of the depo shot because I was on the depo shot for about 2 years and I remeber having this problem also... It took awhile for me to start to ovulate properly and took about a year to pregnant with twins...

when do i have to go for a ovulation blood test if i have a 23 day cylcle my first day of my last period was 17 th may 2009
