Q: not having periods

Well im 17, and i have always had my period reg. for 4 years. anyway, i havent had it for 8months, went to the doctors they said i wasnt pregnant. but okay they gave me birth control patches and i took them and right after i was done with my last patch my period was exposed to start, it did but only for 2 days and i didnt bleed that much!!! okay my Question is can is something wrong with me, i mean they said that birth control would bring it back but it doesnt.... it just stays gone. i scared that if i ever decided to have kids i might not be able to because im not having a period.

you said it did come back for 2 day but it was light...thats probably due to the birth control..birth control lightens and shortens periods....so that was probably your period

Was this your first month on BC? It takes awhile for it to be effective, and having a 2 day period sounds like it's trying to come back. Give it awhile before you start judging.

Also, you may want to ask the doctor if they can find out why you are not having a period for that long. Since you are still young, it could help now if you do find out you are infertile.
