Leukemia can affect many parts of the body, including the organs of the cardiovascular and digestive systems. But what are the major symptoms of leukemia?...
Hi,
My son has been getting nosebleeds at night for the past few months. They have become more frequent and now he gets one to wo a week. Mostly at night buit this morning he got up and then blood just started to trickle down his nose.

I went to the doctor a few weeks ago and he was very dismissive and more or less made out i was wasting his time. My son always has a few bruises but what 2/3 year old doesn't! Plus he has really gone off his food lately. He also seems to get ill alot. He seems to have a constant cold whihc probably oeaks about once a month. Lately he has been having night sweats too.

Could he possibly have leukemia?

Thanks
Laura

While leukemia is a hypothetical possibility, nosebleeds are very common in young children, and the vast majority of such nosebleeds are not caused by leukemia or other cancers.

You might ask for your son to be seen by a pediatric ENT specialist for further evalaution. Hopefully, this will provide you with more reassurance that your son does not have leukemia.
