Hi everyone,

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and I am 27 years old and have hypothyroid since 2 years. I had my thyroid level checked recently. They are as under:-

TSH = 1.98
Free T4 = 0.9

Does this sound normal to you? My doctor did not tell me to increase my dose, just told that everything was normal when I called her. I am currently taking 75 mcg of Levothyroxine. I am so worried about the effects of hypothyroid. Your insights would be very helpful to me.

Thanks,
Priya

Both of those are normal measurements. I'd say keep taking what you're taking! You're fine! I'm gonna send you a pm, check your messages!.....

thanks a lot Danielle. I was concerned because I am pregnant and my T4 is near the lower end of 0.7. Thanks again.

Yeah, but normal is anywhere within that range. Maybe your T4 was always on the low end of normal? There is room for individual variance. As long as it's within range. Do you know what it's been in the past?

Thanks again. Yeah, I do know.

On January,
TSH = 0.50
Free T4 = 1.28

On April,
TSH = 1.19
Free T4 = 1.10

On May,
TSH = 1.32
Free T4 = 1.00

On July,
TSH = 1.98
Free T4 = 0.9

Thanks for your inputs. It means a lot to me.

It's probably worth keeping an eye on. And next time you go to the doc, you can point out the decrease over the last few months- though it's not at dangerous levels yet, maybe the decrease is something the doc has overlooked? Especially the pattern over the recent months.

But be assured that it's not at dangerous levels, so you and your baby are fine Smile When is your next test?

Hi Danielle,

I had my test on Friday and got my results today. I have

TSH = 2.75
Free T4 = 0.9

The nurse told that its still normal. I told the doctor on my last appointment on Friday about the decreasing trend and she noticed it but told that it was still normal and we should continue testing every month.
